The East Side sofa and two lounge chairs, designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1983 for Knoll International, are a magnificent set. These post-modern pieces come in their original two-tone blue Kvadrat Tonus upholstery and are in lovely vintage condition. Boasting a gray enameled steel base with translucent plastic feet, this set is truly unique. The items will be safely shipped in a custom-made wooden crate and are marked Knoll underneath the seats. Ettore Sottsass was a renowned architect and designer who created a lot of impressive work, including furniture, jewelry, glass, lighting, and office design. Best known as a co-founder of the Memphis Group, Sottsass embraced vibrant colors, geometric patterns, and a progressive spirit that he hoped would infuse vitality and an unpretentious sense of fun into people's relationships with objects and built environments. His incredible work can be found in the collections of many museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the VIctoria and Albert Museum.
