The Astimelusa Glass Vase, part of the Vetri Glass collection, was first conceptualized by Ettore Sottsass in 1986 and crafted from blown Murano glass. It bears the signature "E.Sottsass per Memphis" on its base and comes with accompanying authenticity documentation. Sottsass, renowned architect and designer, was born in Innsbruck in 1917, and after graduating from Politecnico di Torino in 1939, went on to co-found the Memphis group in 1981, which radically transformed the world of Italian and global design. Recipient of numerous accolades, notably the Golden Compass in 1959, Sottsass continued to innovate and challenge creative boundaries until his passing in 2007 at the age of 90. Memphis Milano honors his legacy and continues to push boundaries in the industry with its avant-garde designs. Measuring H 18.5 inches, variations in color and dimension may occur due to the nature of the glass and production process. Additionally, pricing does not include VAT, and purchased pieces come with authenticity forms and an engraved signature and original design year for Glass and Silver items.
