Although born in Innsbruck, Austria in 1917, Sottsass spent his formative years in Milan, where his architect father worked. Widely regarded as one of the greatest designers of the past 50 years, Sottsass sadly passed away in Milan at the age of 90, leaving behind an indelible mark on the world of design.
