In 1940, two design legends, Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen, collaborated on a submission for the "Organic Design in Home Furnishings" competition hosted by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Their resulting creation, the Organic Chair, has become an iconic Mid-Century Modern masterpiece of the Eames era known for its beautifully upholstered and biomorphically shaped seat shell that offers supreme comfort. The seat shell is laminated and the upholstery is made of polyurethane foam with Hopsak 100% polyamide fabric in Blue and Moor Brown. Legs are crafted from Black ash Oak from Western Europe, Poland. Manufactured by VItra in the USA circa 2010, each chair possesses an authentic VItra steel label attached at the base. The dimensions of this chair measure approximately 32.5" in height, 26.5" in depth, 28.5" in width, and 16.5" in seat height, with an arm height of 23.75" and a weight of approximately 20 lbs.
