This set of twelve 'Conference' armchairs by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International, featuring the original fabric and chromed metal, were designed in 1957 for the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The renowned building was completed by a team of leading architects and the chairs were a part of the auditorium, providing comfort and style for conference attendees. These chairs are a rare find, as only 800 were produced exclusively for the project. Each chair is numbered underneath and retains its original condition, however, our in-house restoration atelier can reupholster them to meet your needs. Knoll International was founded by Hans Knoll and his wife Florence Knoll continued to lead the company to success, working with talented designers like Eero Saarinen whose postwar designs helped shape the aesthetic landscape of the United States in the 1950s and 1960s.
