This early set exhibits nails that were used to attach the rear panel to the chair, a feature that was later replaced with hidden clamps. Despite its age, the set remains in excellent vintage condition, with its original parts still intact. Eero Saarinen, the Finnish-American architect and industrial designer behind this chair, was renowned for his innovative designs and unique style that incorporated sweeping, sculptural forms. Among his most notable works are the TWA Flight Center in New York City, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, and the General Motors Technical Center in Michigan.
