Producer tasting notes: "candied citrus fruit and frangipane, opening up on aeration to a very deep, very acid and crystallized acacia honey, mixed with zests and red fruits. In the mouth, a concentrated wine, with a sovereign acidity, very tight and tense, imprisoning with an iron hand a lemon liquor. A great fat purity, whose complexity can only be perceived by the unusual length of the wine. On the finish, the wine comes back, refreshing by its liveliness, a digestible and salivating mouth, which, at this stage of concentration (more than 70 grams of sugar remaining) remains an absolute mystery and modernity. A sort of vibrating lemon paste which, with its stubborn little fists, comes back to hit the mucous membrane, solicits and excites it, preventing it from being spat out, preventing it from being forgotten This 2008 is quite an achievement: a wine of energy and sapidity, quite in the usual type of the great Altenberg botrytis." - <i>Marcel Deiss</i>
