De Sede originated from a small saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland, where skilled craftsmen dedicated themselves to crafting seating furniture from the finest leather. Through years of experience and hard work, they produced handcrafted leather furniture of exceptional quality. In 1965, the family business became a publicly traded company under the name De Sede AG, while remaining loyal to its original values. The business grew rapidly thereafter, employing prominent international designers, establishing more manufacturing facilities, and creating a worldwide distribution network. De Sede AG is now a leading exclusive leather furniture manufacturer, with over 120 staff and a global presence in over 40 countries, including emerging markets such as China and Brazil. Their DS-168 armchair with a matching headrest and ottoman, upholstered in soft, silky textured natural nappa leather in light grey, is a modern take on a classic wingback chair. De Sede's Naturale leather develops a unique patina with time, contributing to its beauty. The chair measures 32.6" W x 33" D x 41.7" H with a seat height of 17.7" and a seat depth of 22". The ottoman measures 25.5" W x 21.6" D x 16.5" H. Gordon Guillaumier designed the chair for De Sede, and it was manufactured in Switzerland in 2012.
