The enthusiastic co-president of Chopard, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, takes part in the endurance race which covers a 1,000 mile (1,600 km) loop from Brescia to Rome and back, showcasing his love for motor cars. To commemorate this event, the Maison unveils a new collection of Mille Miglia watches every year, which are known to celebrate the world's most magnificent race. The latest addition, the Mille Miglia GTS Azzurro Power Control chronograph, in stainless steel and 18-carat rose gold (limited to 500 pieces), is inspired by a dashboard and features an elegant "Azzurro" blue dial contrasted by the "Mille Miglia Red" detail of the hands and the iconic arrow-shaped race logo encompassing the date window.
