Joint venture between Château Cheval Blanc and Terrazas de Los Andes. Depending on the vintage the blend may vary. Critic tasting note: "75% of the grapes for this wine come from Las Compuertas beside the Mendoza River, and the rest are from the La Consulta zone. The final blend is 69% malbec and 31% cabernet sauvignon. The Cheval style has been evolving over time toward wines with less oak and more elegance. And although this change has been slow compared with other iconic Argentine wines, this year they continue on this path. The fruit is fresh, with very good tension, and the oak hangs back, like background music. It’s a wine with tremendous aging potential. Leave it in the cellar for at least 5 years." - 95/100, Patricio Tapia - Descorchados
