Third Growth. Troisieme Grand Cru Classe in 1855. There are three Bordeaux Chateaux called Lagrange - one in Saint-Julien, one in Graves and the other in Pomerol. Expert tasting note: "The wine's color is a deep, dark, but not quite opaque, ruby-red. Red-fruit aromas on the nose are dominated by cedarwood, then open to become more gamey. The palate is of mid-weight. Cedarwood notes from oak ageing again dominate redcurrant & red-plum fruit. Acidity giives good freshness. Alcohol is balanced, length is reasonable & fine tannins give good grip on the finish." - 11/93 DCAMW
