First Growth. Premier Cru Classe in 1855. Critic tasting note: "The nose is fresh, elegant, beautifully built and offers a good balance and delicacy. It reveals notes of candied vine peach, crushed pear, small notes of candied apple associated with touches of lemon flowers, quenette, crystallized lemon as well as a hint of kumquat, apple flowers, fine hints of honey, a discreet hint of brioche, fresh hazelnut and an imperceptible hint of verbena. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, racy, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, a beautiful freshness, a small aerial side and a fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crystallized lemon, candied vine peach, small notes of fresh quenette, fresh lychee associated with touches of fresh brugnon, crystallized apple, lemon flowers as well as hints of racy minerality, candied small fruits, verbena/acacia and vanilla. Good length." - 94/100, VertdeVIn
