Prior to the 2022 vintage, this wine was classed as Premier Grand Cru Classe A. Classified as Premier Grand Cru Classe B from 1996 to 2012. Critic tasting note: "That old saying is proved to be true once again, there are only great bottles, not great wines after 20 years of age, let only 60 years of age. I have had better tastings of this treasure and worse. The nose won the show here, with its ripe fruits, flowers, truffle, dark cocoa, tobacco and smoke. On the palate, things fell short, as the fruit faded far too quickly.
