This is an exquisite pair of vintage Modernist, Bauhaus, or Art Deco Basculant LC1 Sling Chairs by Le Corbusier that will impress you with their minimalist chrome plated tubular steel frames, spring seat platforms and back cross straps, black leather arm rest straps, and hair-on cowhide leather upholstery in a brown, white, and black multicolored design. Despite being vintage, they're in great condition, except for some areas of wear in the hair on the seats and normal cracking in the arm straps. We've replaced a few of the springs and provided detailed photos for your reference. These chairs were most likely made between 1950-1970 by Thonet or Cassina, and their ergonomic design with a back angle creates exceptional comfort with a timeless appeal. Le Corbusier is considered one of the most important Modernist chair designers in France, and his Basculant LC1 Sling Chair allows you to effortlessly adjust the reclining position for maximum comfort. Measuring 25 inches in height, 24.5 inches in width, and 25.5 inches in depth, with a seat height of 15 inches and arm height of 22.5 inches, they're perfect for the living room, family room, bedroom, or study. These chairs are exactly what you need for a touch of warmth and luxury combined with style and functionality.
