The fourteen chairs by Charlotte Perriand were designed for Robert Sentou in France in 1964 and showcase a simple yet classic design. The backrest and seat are made from straw and are complemented by a pinewood structure to create a harmonious look. The wooden elements on the lower front and side taper delicately towards the end, adding to the chairs' elegance. Known as one of the most renowned series of chairs by Robert Sentou, these chairs were meticulously restored by our atelier and bear slight signs of use and age that add to their charm. Charlotte Perriand's career began with wide acclaim of her Bar under the roof, entirely constructed from nickel-plated copper and anodized aluminum, which was showcased at the Salon d'Automne in 1927. Following that, she collaborated for a decade with the notable design studios of Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret at 35 rue de Sèvres in Paris.
