The Les Arcs Collection by French designer and architect Charlotte Perriand has been recently launched by cc-tapis. The collection includes 5 new rug designs and rare archives in an elaborate exhibition, curated by Dan Thawley, the editor in chief of "A magazine curated by". Six unpublished color studies originally conceived for a series of woven panneaux ouvrants resurface from the Charlotte Perriand archives in Paris to be brought to life as hand-knotted rugs for the first time by cc-tapis. The project is named after the Pierre Blanche building at Les Arcs 1600 ski station in the French Alps, where Charlote Perriand dedicated 20 years of her life. After more than 50 years, the Les Arcs Collection is being presented by Pernette Perriand Barsac and cc-tapis in January 2023, adhering strictly to the color schemes outlined by Charlotte Perriand in her technical drawings. Designed to reflect Charlotte Perriand's love for artisanal craft, the rugs of the collection are made of 100% Himalayan wool by cc-tapis artisans in Nepal. They come in three sizes and twelve colors, ranging from light antelope brown to bright amiral blue and azalée pink.
