This is a solid mahogany wood sideboard from 1954, featuring original doors and a system designed by Charlotte Perriand. It comes with provenance from the city of Le Mans and the "Courboulay" building that we recovered. The fabrication was done by Jean Prouvé, as cited in Paul Herbé's Bibliography, Lecouteur, pg. 87. The doors are composed of compressed wood with mahogany handles, and the box was created by a professional cabinetmaker originally to be inlaid into a wall. The sideboard includes three sliding doors and shelves, and its dimensions are 115 x 33 x 18 inches or 290 x 85 x 47 cm. Overall, this is a beautiful piece.
