The curved lattice back of the Willow chair is supported by an elegant ebonized ashwood frame, while beneath the seat lies a concealed storage compartment and the Cassina mark and serial number. Originally created by Charles R. Mackintosh in 1903 for the "Willow Tea Room" in Glasgow, this particular piece has weathered the years beautifully and boasts a charmingly faded but well-preserved upholstery. Overall, this chair is a wonderful example of an antique in exquisite condition.
