This chair, originally designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh around 1940, was produced by an unknown manufacturer in approximately 1970. It remains in its original condition with minor signs of wear, adding to its charm and unique patina. The chair is crafted from white lacquered solid beechwood and measures D 48 cm x W 44 cm x H 151 cm. Mackintosh was an influential Scottish architect and designer who made a significant impact on the Post-Impressionist and Art Nouveau movements. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City held a retrospective exhibition of his works in 1996-1997, which featured lectures, symposiums, and documentary screenings.
