The Trone armchair was originally designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh back in 1904, and was re-released in 1973 by Cassina in Italy. This chair resembles a throne with its tall semi-circular back that served to separate the entrance area from the tea-room behind it, showcasing Mackintosh's Geometric and Art Nouveau style. Cassina combined advanced technology with superior carpentry skills to create this chair, resulting in an elegant, lightweight latticed frame.
