This La Fonda seating group, created by renowned designers Charles & Ray Eames in 1961, includes four arm chairs, two chairs, and a table that can be extended. These pieces retain their original fabric upholstery, but do show visible signs of use. For instance, one armchair has a partially open seam and the table displays noticeable marks on the chrome base and edges, without an insert plate. You can clearly observe the condition of the set in the accompanying photos. The designers collaborated with Alexander Girard to furnish the La Fonda del Sol restaurant in the Time-Life building in New York. Girard had a peculiar request for backs of the chairs not to extend beyond the table, a detail cleverly incorporated by Eames. Produced by renowned manufacturer Hermann Miller, the set bears adhesive labels.
