Charles & Ray Eames created a calico ash molded plywood screen divider that dates back to the early 1950s. This screen boasts an impressive and innovative design that allows for a variety of shapes to be formed. With flexible cotton canvas hinges, the six panels can either extend open or fold down, making it a convenient space-saving option. The natural wood surface has an attractive grain, with some slight marks that add to its character. It has been polished with a light lacquer finish and remains in a very good original condition, with only a few chips to the edges and intact webbing. Measuring at 68" tall and expanding up to 60" wide, each panel is 10" wide, making it a beautiful addition to any room. This design was released in 1946 and manufactured by Herman Miller until 1955.
