The Ray and Charles Eames-designed coffee table for Herman Miller, known as "La Fonda," was created in 1975 as part of the "La Fonda Group" Furniture line, which furnished Alexander Girard's restaurant of the same name in the Time-Life Building in New York City. The table has Herman Miller labels attached to its underside and bears a stamp date of "June 18 1975." Measuring 30 inches in diameter and standing at 18 inches tall, the table is in good to very good condition, with no chips in the marble. However, the chrome base shows some wear and pitting, as shown in photos, though the shock mounts are still in great condition. Overall, the table is stable and ready for in-home use, and presents well.
