This is an Aluminum Chair created by Charles & Ray Eames in 1958 and produced by VItra. The chair is designed as an office chair and features a brown leather seat with a chrome aluminum frame. The duo designed this chair for an art collector’s home in Columbus, Indiana back in 1958. Rather than using a shell, they stretched a fabric or leather panel between two aluminum sides to form a tight yet pliable seat. The Aluminum Chair is extremely comfortable with an ergonomically-curved backrest that perfectly adapts to the sitter's body. It is a practical and chic design that works great as an office chair. Matching chairs with armrests can also be found in another listing. It is an iconic piece in excellent original condition and is priced individually.
