This is a 1978 Original Herman Miller Eames soft pad Aluminum Group executive chair in black leather. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1969, this classic soft pad chair is known for its superior comfort. It was retained from the VIdal Sassoon Salon in Los Angeles in the 1970s and is stamped with the year 1978. The chair measures approximately 39.5h x 22.5w x 20d with a seat height of 20 inches. Though it's in its original preowned and unrestored condition, it still has a wonderful pedigree. The leather and original seat cushion show vintage wear that's consistent with age and use, including fine scratches on the leather. The aluminum frame shows scratches and scuffs, and the arms have blemishes, fading, and scratches. Nonetheless, it's a looker and a great addition to any home.
