Nicasia VIneyard Malbec is sold under the 'D.V. Catena' label for the Argentinian market Critic tasting note: "Nicasia is a vineyard that was planted on rocky limestone soils in Paraje Altamira in 1997. The grapes were fermented with 50% whole clusters, all in wooden barrels. The wine was then aged in casks for 16 months. Fermenting with whole clusters confers a quality of delicious fruits, as if it were from Beaujolais, but with all of the sweet malbec fruit here contrasting with the force of Altamira’s chalky tannins." - 96/100, Patricio Tapia - Descorchados
