The Squared walnut wood Scuderia table, model nos. 782, was designed by Carlo Scarpa and produced by Bernini in 1977. Its walnut and pear multilayered tabletop sits atop double cylindrical multilayered walnut legs. The signature of 'C. Scarpa' can be found on the side of the top, while the 'Bernini' mark can be seen under the top. In excellent condition considering its prior use and age, with conservative restoration, the table measures 132 x 132 cm and has a height of 72 cm. For easy shipping, the table is dismountable into the top and legs. Accompanying the table are four Kentucky chairs, model no. 783, also made in 1977 by Bernini and designed by Carlo Scarpa. This model is a development of the Scuderia chair. The chairs have a cylindrical wood frame, leather seat and backrest, and back legs equipped with rubber ferrules. The seats and backrests are in wonderful leather displaying gentle seams, with walnut wood parts having been conservatively restored and rewaxed. The leather seats are fixed to the wooden structure with checked springs and are in exceptional condition, with suggested cleaning using a simple neutral or transparent cream for leather. The size of each chair is 104 cm H x 41 cm W x 50 cm D. These chairs have been featured in different design books, including the Taschen guide "XX Design" page 633, and can be found on the official archive of Carlo Scarpa at Castelvecchio of Verona, Italy.
