This lovely antique Murano art glass mini vase or vide poche is a true work of art. Hand blown using the Sommerso clear white bubbles and gold flecks technique, it is a rare find. The piece is documented to the renowned Venini company and crafted by master designer and architect Carlo Scarpa. As indicated by the two-line signature, it was created circa 1920-1930 and features in several Venini books due to its unique design and technique. The "a Bollicine" technique imbues the vase with thousands of tiny bubbles and exceptional depth. The inverted pontil features the clear acid-signed "Venini Italia." The vase boasts a layer of gold leaf between the outer glass and bubbles. It is a Thick and substantial piece for its size, perfect for displaying on an elegant desk, curio cabinet, or side table. This art deco item from the early Mid-century era is a remarkable collectors item, measuring 3 3/8" tall x 3" long and wide at the top.
