The Audi 80, also known as the Fox in some markets, is a compact executive car manufactured by the German luxury carmaker Audi from 1972 to 1986. The first generation of the Audi 80, also known as the B1 series, was introduced in 1972 as a replacement for the Audi 60. The B1 series was available as a two-door or four-door sedan or a two-door or three-door hatchback. The Audi 80 / Fox B1 was known for its innovative design and advanced technology, including front-wheel drive, four-wheel disc brakes, and a five-speed manual gearbox. It was powered by a range of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, with output ranging from 55 to 110 horsepower. The B1 series also came with a range of standard and optional features, including air conditioning, power windows, and a sunroof. Overall, the Audi 80 / Fox B1 was a popular and well-regarded car during its production run, known for its reliability, performance, and style. It was later replaced by the B2 series in 1986.
