Arne Jacobsen's Armchair Svanen, produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark, was crafted in 1958 and later unveiled at Copenhagen's SAS Royal Hotel in 1960. This landmark establishment was the earliest example of a designer hotel, providing Danish creators with a platform to showcase their innovative designs. Conceived with the same fiberglass and foam casting technique as the iconic Ägget chair, the Armchair Svanen stood out with its cutting-edge construction during the 1950s and 1960s. This beautiful chair has been reupholstered with new navy blue material and features fresh padding. It appears to date back to the early 1960s, and is in excellent vintage condition that is commensurate with its age and use.
