The Munkegaard barstool, designed by Arne Jacobsen, is a re-release of a mid-century modern Scandinavian classic. Originally produced only from 1955 until the late 1960s (with a brief stint in the 1990s), this unique chair was created for the Munkegaard School north of Copenhagen, which was fully designed by Jacobsen in the 1950s. Similar to the school building itself and its other fixtures, the Munkegaard barstool represents Jacobsen's belief in using bold architectural design to promote comfort and intimacy. Two seat heights are available at 63cm and 77cm, and the stools can be stacked for easy storage. Because it is only available upon request, there is a minimum order quantity of two and it will take 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.
