Arne Jacobsen grew up in Copenhagen and graduated with a degree in architecture from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1927. He started working at the city architect's office in Copenhagen and established his own architectural firm just two years later. As a famous Danish modernistic architect, he designed many buildings in Denmark, Germany, and the United Kingdom. This particular fixture projects light downwards and its shade can be adjusted for optimal light distribution. The inside of the shade is painted in white to provide a pleasant and cozy ambiance. The materials used in the construction of this fixture are spun steel and aluminum, while the light source is a 10W G16.5 bulb, which is not included in the package.
