Copenhagen was both the birthplace and childhood home of Arne Jacobsen. Upon graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1927 with a degree in architecture, he secured his first position at the City Architect's office before branching out on his own a mere two years later. Regarded as a prominent Danish modernist architect, Arne Jacobsen has built a plethora of stunning structures throughout Denmark, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The illumination produced by the lighting fixture is directed downwards. The shade can be adjusted to optimize light distribution, and its inner surface is painted white to provide a gentle and cozy glow. The materials used for the fixture include die cast zinc and spun steel, while the light source comes in the form of a single A-19 bulb with a power output of 15W. Sadly, the bulb is not included in the package, and the fixture uses a voltage of 120V in both white and black varieties.
