The AJ Royal pendant in black by Arne Jacobsen for Louis Poulsen is an iconic piece of design that embodies Jacobsen's geometric shape concept. Originally designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1960, this pendant features a simple yet complex spherical dome shape with circular ringed louvers on top that provide a soft glow and maintain the clean domed shape. Made of black wet painted spun aluminum shade, steel rings, and a frosted acrylic diffuser, this pendant comes with 12 feet of black textile cord and ceiling canopy. It also features a 30W LED/2700K and is UL listed for damp locations. This authorized re-edition is new in box with factory warranty and is available in black or white in three sizes. Arne Jacobsen, a world-renowned Danish modernistic architect and designer, created this pendant and other famous pieces such as "The Egg" and "The Swan" chairs.
