The Cylinda line is made up of 20 pieces, which can be found in various museum collections worldwide. Designed by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen, the Cylinda-Line is an elegant and timeless collection of barware and serving pieces constructed in brushed stainless steel, making it durable and long-lasting. The design was initially based on industrial stainless steel pipes, but this was deemed too expensive. Instead, a process of bending and welding stainless steel sheets was used to create the cylindrical forms, which were then brushed to leave no trace of welding. Arne Jacobsen was born in Copenhagen in 1902 and studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He became a prominent figure in Danish architecture, designing a range of private and public buildings that helped formulate what would become known as the Danish Modern style. Inspired by Charles Eames, he also began designing furniture, including the iconic Swan Chair and Egg Chair.
