The Louis Poulsen AJ table lamp in Pale Petroleum is a re-edition of the iconic design created by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1960. The lamp is made of steel and cast zinc and comes with a 10-foot black cord, except for the white finish, which has a 10-foot white cord. The fixture emits downward directed light, which can be optimized by adjusting the angle of the shade, painted white on the inside for a soft and comfortable light. The lamp accommodates 1x 15W standard medium base LED bulb and has an on/off switch on the base. The AJ lamp is part of a collection of lighting products that made the SAS Royal Hotel famous for its total design concept. Arne Jacobsen, a world-renowned Danish modernistic architect and designer, also created furniture, cutlery, door handles, sanitary fixtures, fabrics, and wallpaper patterns.
