Arne Jacobsen, a renowned designer from Denmark (1902-1971), ingeniously utilized a plywood chair created by Charles Eames as an inspiration for his own studio. From this, he created one of the most commercially successful chair models in the history of design, the Ant Chair (1951), which has become a timeless classic. Comprising of only two simple elements, tubular steel legs and a flexible seat and backrest made out of a continuous piece of plywood in an assortment of bold hues, this design sold in the millions. We have a collection of vintage mid-century modern Series 7 chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. These chairs are composed of pressure-molded sliced veneer and have chromed steel tube bases. The price listed is per chair and we have 18 available in light blue and 15 in dark blue (resembling a royal blue shade).
