This unique dining table was designed by Alvar Aalto around 1960 as a special commission, and its dimensions measure 246 x 140 x 73 cm. It features wooden legs and structure that are still in great original condition, but with some minor wear and scratches on the top that add to its beautiful, age-defining patina, as shown in the photos. Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto (1898-1976) was a Finnish architect and designer, whose works were not limited to a specific field. He created various pieces such as architecture, furniture, textiles, and glassware, as he approached each project as a total work of art with intricate details, including furniture and light fixtures. Together with his wife Aino Aalto, they founded Artek in 1935 to produce and market Aalto furniture, with the aim of improving people's everyday life through elegant designs and practicality.
