To acknowledge the popularity of their Air Max line and draw inspiration from top fashion cities around the world, Nike launched the Nike Air Max Hometurf Milan Pack in February 2013. One of several Home Turf collections, this pack featured four different Air Max models, including the iconic Air Max 1 Milan. Out of all the Hometurf releases, the Milan Air Max was the most coveted. Its upper and midsole were made of light wheat-colored suede, while its interior, upper eye stays, and outsole boasted neon pink accents. The Milan Air Max also sported unique Milan and Air Max branding on the tongue and a lower Hometurf lace stay. Despite not being a collaboration, the Milan AM1 was composed of premium materials and an unusual color scheme, making it highly sought-after. Initially, the AM1 Milan was exclusively available through select Nike Sportswear Accounts in Home Turf-inspired cities. However, it was later made available at other NSW locations. Retailing at $120, the Nike Air Max 1 Hometurf "Milan" was undoubtedly the star of the Hometurf pack, thanks to its expertly-crafted combination of classic wheat and modern mango hues.
