DJ Clark Kent, also known as God's preferred DJ, showcased his design prowess by creating the Nike Air Max 1 "112 Pack" colorway that launched in 2008. Although the Air Max 1 is arguably the most famous of the designs featured in the Clark Kent 112 Collection, it was released alongside two other designs: Clark's personal favorite sneaker, the Air Force 1, and the Air Trainer 1, which had the same black, neon, and grey color combination. Although the official Black/Neon Yellow-Metallic Silver colorway was exceptional, what made this design stand out was the unmentioned Elephant Print that wrapped around the mud guard, a rare feature on the Air Max 1, particularly in 2008. Nonetheless, the shape of this design helped the 112 Air Max 1 stay as one of the most desired colorways of the classic Nike runner, along with its translucent neon yellow outsole, commonly referred to as Nike's famous "Volt" color, that added another unique element. The Metallic Silver overlays on the upper of this Air Max 1 colorway are actually 3M reflective, and without a closer look, people might not have noticed. DJ Clark Kent's accomplished career on the turntables collaborating with Brooklyn legends like Biggie and Jay-Z may be successful, but the Nike Air Max 1 "112 Pack" is excellent proof of his skills as a color designer in the footwear industry if music ever fails him.
