The first time the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low hit the market was in 2004, with two pairs being released simultaneously, including this particular white, black and midnight navy colorway. This version is analogous to the Retro+ edition that surfaced in 2001, and is characterized by a white tumbled leather upper, navy blue and black nubuck accents, and metallic silver branding on the tongue. The primary differences between the two versions lie in the black accents on the lows and silver accents on the mids/highs. Furthermore, the shape of these shoes is unique, and does not precisely resemble the original AJ 1 Low from '85-86. On June 12, 2004, this shoe was launched, costing $80. While only a limited quantity of both Air Jordan 1 Retro Low colorways were available in 2004, this specific pair, in particular, was challenging to acquire.
