The "Wings For The Future" edition of the Air Jordan 1 by Dave White is a stunning piece of artwork that seamlessly blends some of Jordan Brand's most iconic design elements. As a prominent sneaker enthusiast, artist, and collaborator with brands like Nike and Jordan, Dave White's creation is notable for its omission of the Nike Swoosh, instead featuring a unique splatter paint approach that imbues the design with a sense of fluidity and motion. Inspired by his love for Air Jordans, particularly the Air Jordan 5 and the planes that influenced its design, White incorporated details such as stars, midsole and heel stripes, and the aforementioned paint scheme to create a truly distinctive sneaker. Adding a touch of Elephant Print to the upper, White's original idea for the shoe included removable Velcro Swooshes that would allow collectors to customize their pairs with up to four variations.
