The "Soriana" sofa, designed by Tobia and Afra Scarpa for Cassina in Italy in 1969, is a true icon of the 1970s, with its inviting low design and minimalist structure in chromed steel. The innovative steel rod structure keeps the cover taut, while allowing it to fold and descend along the sides and back. The sofa won the Compasso d'Oro prize in 1970, cementing its place in design history. Tobia and Afra Scarpa were known for their unconventional thinking and experimentation with materials and shapes. Our atelier has restored and reupholstered this sofa in a luxurious champagne leather, with slight signs of wear and age giving it character. We offer customizations to the finishing and composition of the piece to suit your preferences.
