The "Soriana" living room set by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina is a relic of the 1960s that continues to exude a timeless appeal. Comprising a two-seater sofa, two lounge chairs, and one ottoman, this set is upholstered in elegant champagne leather. The design's standout feature is the minimalist structure in chromed steel, which keeps the cover taut using buttons at the seat and allows it to curl in the points where it folds to descend along the sides and back. The "Soriana" model won the Compasso d'Oro prize in 1970, and it's now available as a set of four. Afra Bianchin and Tobia Scarpa began collaborating in 1957, and their designs reflect their unconventional thinking and innovative use of materials. From the 1960s onwards, they worked with renowned companies like Gavina, B&B Italia, and Cassina. Today, their pieces are displayed in museums across the globe, including the MoMA in New York and the Musée du Louvre in Paris. Our atelier has lovingly restored and reupholstered this set in champagne leather, and while there are some signs of use and time, the set is in excellent condition. However, we can reupholster this set with any material you wish, and customize the finishing and composition to your specifications. The chairs measure 95 x 100 x 65 H cm, the sofa measures 95 x 175 x 65 H cm, and the ottoman measures 95 x 95 x 38 H cm, making this set a perfect addition to any living room.
