The "Soriana" living room set by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, consisting of a pair of lounge chairs and a pouf, was designed in 1969 but became popular in the following decade. The set exudes a low profile with luxurious curves, inviting the user to sink in. The chromed steel structure of the chairs is a standout feature, pulling the taut cover using buttons while allowing it to curve along the sides and back. The metal structure, in a T-shape, encloses the polyurethane filter like a vice. In 1970, "Soriana" won the Compasso d'Oro prize. The Scarpa duo began their collaborative work in 1957 with companies like Gavina, B&B Italia, and Cassina. They have created numerous unconventional designs, with their pieces displayed in museums worldwide. Our atelier has carefully restored and reupholstered this set in champagne leather, with slight signs of use and time. The set can be customized in any material and finishing upon request. The chairs measure 95 x 100 x 65 H cm, while the ottoman measures 95 x 95 x 38 H cm.
