This set of dining chairs designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa in the 1970s features rectangular frames and angular backrests, reminiscent of two other iconic designs: the 'Monk' and 'Dialogo' chairs. The six chairs boast red leather seats and backs, supported by two frames connected in the same way as the 'Monk' chairs. The walnut frame is decorated with black metal joints, and the red saddle leather has a rich patina, providing both comfort and elegance. The Scarpa's, who both studied at the Venice Institute of Architecture, established their own design office in 1960, creating cutting edge designs in architecture, furniture, and clothing for global brands such as Flos, Gavina, B&B Italia, and Cassina.
