The Bouclé ivory 3 seater Bastiano sofa, designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Gavina in the 1960s, boasts a wooden structure and leather upholstery. The Bastiano series was created for Gavina's experimental design laboratory and was inspired by Le Corbusier's concept of free cushions, resulting in a modern sofa made with wood. Thanks to the thick cushions that fall into the frame, the sofa is extremely comfortable. The frame functions as a basket that holds the cushions together. The sofa is in very good condition with wear that is consistent with age and use. It measures W 212 x D 76 x H 70 cm, with a seat height of 35 cm.
